Good Enough PSU?

Hey Guys, im looking to purchase this pc for battlefield and other games, im just wondering would this PSU Be good enough for the GPU And such?

Specs:

Intel I5 4670
Cooler Master Hyper 212
MSI Z87-G45
Corsair Vengeance 8 GB Ram
Evga GTX 780 Superclocked
Kingston 120GB SSD

And the powersupply i was planning on was a:
Corsair CXM 650W PSU

I'd avoid CX series (rated at 30 celsius, 1 yr. warranty, has chinese caps) - it's cheaper mid tier PSU that degrades faster. Rather go for HX or TX series.

85W+250W+l et´s say a few fans and other HDD or CD-Rom Drives (50w) = 385W
All around maybe MAX 400-450W under full stress load you PSU should be fine .

OP, what is your budget for the PSU and what UK? retailer were you planning on purchasing it from?

The other people who commented shot you real straight, don't mess with the CX and 650w is overkill.

650 should be plenty. It may be overkill but it's better to go that route than it is to just barely meet what you need.

There's a CX650? You sure it's not an CX600? I can't find a CX650 or CX650M. M is modular.

Correct there is no CXM650. Go with a SeaSonic G Series 550 gold or Corsair RM, HX, AX TX series. Its just cus your running that 780. You want good clean power. If you want to run overkill that's fine. PSU are more efficient at lower % of use. Just get a quality PSU

Ditto with Jetster, not only they provide clean protected power but protects the system too. My favorite is Seasonic and other brand made by Seasonic as he mentioned above.

I had a corsair HX620 for years running a GTX680 with intel 2600k 3 hard drives 2 dvd drives and a sound card all in an antec 1200 case with 6 fans with no problems at all but I did run out of cables when I wanted to change to the GTX780 I now have.
im just wondering as I do make quite a few pc's for people and if they have the money I always put corsair in but if they have a budget then I put in OCZ but after looking on the website where I buy many parts from I see now they don't do HX series they now have RM - CS -CX and AX I now have the AX860i which is more than enough for any future upgrades but which out of those series are the good ones or which has taken over the HX series ?

i would go for a GS corsair series. they are not expensive and are not as cheap.
i have been using a gs 600 for quite a while now... and sometimes i forget its even there.
pretty bang for buck. i have had it for over 4 years now i think.

@OP - Corsair GS series is an option. I would recommend you the GS 700 since it has a much better fan control spec.
Seasonic is the best PSU manufacturer. XFX and Corsair are good too.

My Zebronics also didn't give any problems in its 2.5 years of heavy load of overclocking. It is not always about problems....

For me it depends on the rating too... the lower the rating, ie gold, silver, bronze, add some wattage. Get a 900-1000 silver, bronze. Get an 800-850 plat or gold. Just a basic rule of thumb I chose to follow back when these ratings started and haven't been disappointing with that path yet.

I would steer more towards a Seasonic PSU like the X-650.

Oh yeah a 125W Phenom II 955 at 3.86 GHz with NB at 2.8 GHz and RAMs at 1866 MHz along with an overclocked Radeon HD 6770 FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS 24/7 is considered a pretty heavy overclock not to mention my adventures often even at 4.2-4.3 GHz!
Your GS 600 had everything at stock for 98.8% of the time you had it!
Moral of the story according to your point is: Since you did not have any "problems" with your Corsair GS 600 in its 2 years of use with a 95W X4 945 at stock and pretty much everything at stock, your PSU is good!

Having that point in mind, my point holds even better. I also did not have any "problems" with my Zebronics Platinum 600W in its 2.5 years of use with a 125W X4 955 overclocked to 3.86 GHz and everything in the system overclocked. So my PSU is good too!

I don't know what to say.
Oh wait, now you will say that I have a good UPS and you don't. But everyone knows UPSes are the worst culprits for giving noise through their outputs.
