Steam and Origin Attack?

I've been trying to connect to both all night and haven't had any luck. I've been talking to a few regulars on TPU via TS and they cannot log in either. If you are already in you are ok but if you sign out you might be FUBAR.

Has anyone got any issues?

connected about an hour ago, cant now. I'm certain it'll be resolved quickly. having a LARGE storm in the Eastern US, dunno if THAT can be a factor.

I've been on Steam for the past few hours, playing some Dead Space. I can see my game library and load a game, but I just checked and can't connect to the store.

Friends list is down, can't talk to people.

Both down for me to in the uk and not happy cause i can't bloody sleep so wanted to play battlefiled 4 but as origin is broke i decide to try steam but it says its down for maintenance

It doesn't matter if you have been signed in or not. People are getting kicked and are unable to log back in. Just happened to one of my cousins.

Already been confirmed as an attack from DERP at least on Origin, I imagine they're doing the Steam attack as well.

I was on a few hours ago, looking at the sale. Bought Gary's Mod, no problems. Haven't tried to log back in. Been busy getting the Humble Bundle and such. I don't know why I buy all these games, they are great deals but, I have no time to play!! Hopefully, that will eventually change, hopefully. Anyways, I hope Steam fights the intrusion and comes out safe!

I can log in and out of Steam just fine and play games. However, the store times out with an error message.

EDIT: the store is now working fine.
