I just got a lot of these psu on ebay for 5$ each shipping included a while ago and they are able to give the rated wattage. Internal is almost naked and I don't even know that generic brand so I just wanted to share! :p
I changed the fan for a temperature auto-controlled one. Dead silent now!

JunkBear you need to keep your JunkAvatar in your Trunk, it is worse than plumber's crack.

Undoubtably inefficient with unacceptable ripple, but if all grandma does is check her AOL email, then it'll do.

I've seen 200w SFX PSUs with more internals. I suppose they only have basic OV and OC protection, if any.

yep so it fits with what i said earlier - he's running a ~250W PSU on a <150W system, and it works 'great'

"Looks like the power rating (430W peak) was the AC input (424W sustained at time of death) rather than the DC output (272W at time of death)."

pity the pictures dont load in that review

I wouldn't use that.... at all... Hell I have a 350W 80+ bronze OEM PSU that has better internals than that one does. Why not spend some extra money and get a reliable PSU instead of rolling the dice with this.

Here is a nice mid-tier PSU that would work well in your pc and give room for expansion.

yep, at least if you wanna buy better psu, take branded one or at least local brand that you know exactly.
