Its latest gaming laptop-GX70 and GX60 Destroyer, offer game enthusiasts the best experiences of both performance and affordability. The MSI GX70 and GX60 Destroyer pack with the latest generation of AMD's extreme mobile graphics card R9-M290X, high performance AMD A10-5750M quad core APU architecture, built-in HD8650G performance-grade DirectX11 for superior video resolution, and the top 3-screen output experience Eyefinity.

With a special packing and a game bundled, the MSI GX70 and GX60 Destroyer come with a limited Battlefield 4 edition. Users can redeem a free Battlefield 4 game! With the A10-5750M processor and R9-M290X display card, the GX70 and GX60 Destroyer runs at 32 more Frames Per Second (FPS) even when at full HD and using Ultra settings in Battlefield 4 gaming, that giving you a smoother game and superior price to performance ratio.

More power to gamers
Eric Kuo, vice president for global sales& marketing, MSI Notebook, pointed out that there is no question that the upgraded GX70 and GX60 Destroyer being promoted by MSI, has the best price to performance ratio of any serious gaming notebook in the world today. In addition to AMD's top end R9-M290X 2GB discrete graphics card, and MSI's Eyefinity triple screen output, it also sports a SteelSeries keyboard designed specifically with the extreme gamer in mind, a Killer Gaming Networking card, Audio Boost with AMP and a gold-plated earphone jack for unmatched signal and sound quality, as well as up to 16GB of primary memory.

Better performance and gaming experience
New generation AMD R9-M290X 2GB top graphics
MSI's new GX70/GX60 Destroyer gaming laptop packs the latest high-end AMD R9-M290X top level gaming discrete graphics card with 256-bit memory bandwidth and 2GB GDDR5 memory capacity design and supports ultra-high quality resolution DirectX 11, racking up over P5100 points on the 3D Mark 11 DirectX11 special effects performance test with latest AMD Catalyst 13.12 version of graphics drivers.

In addition, it plays load-heavy 3D games as silky smooth even when set to "Ultra Detail" and Full HD resolution. With the A10-5750M processor and R9-M290X display card, the GX70/GX60 Destroyer runs at 33 more Frames Per Second (FPS) even when at full HD and using Ultra settings in Battlefield 4 gaming, that giving you a smoother game and superior price to performance ratio.

AMD A10-5750M Quad-Core processor:
MSI's latest generation gaming laptop, the GX70/GX60 Destroyer equipped with AMD's A10-5750M quad-core processor. This upgraded APU increases overall system performance by 10~15% over earlier versions, while optimizing power saving and heat dissipation.

The built-in AMD HD8650G graphics could saves more power, while providing superior DirectX11 high resolution display performance as well as three graphics output interfaces--Mini Display Port, HDMI, and D-Sub--to provide the industry's only Eyefinity triple-display full HD output with synchronized, identical resolution or unsynchronized, varied resolution options to greatly broaden gaming field-of-vision. It supports up to three full HD monitors at the highest resolution settings and meets the requirements for multiple screen output with high performance for multiple users. What's more, the latest HDMI 1.4b and Display Port 1.2 broadband interface offers super high 4096 x 2160 resolutions, making the GX70/GX60 Destroyer ideal for medical applications and professional graphics designers.

Peripherals designed for extreme gaming
SteelSeries professional gaming keyboard:
Responding to the need of gamers for a keyboard designed just for you, MSI collaborated with leader in gaming peripherals SteelSeries to equip MSI's newest generation gaming laptop with a keyboard designed just for them. Not only is it twice as durable as traditional keyboards and the responsiveness of the keys like that of desktop computers, the Windows start key has been relocated to the right side of the keyboard to greatly reduce the likelihood that you're going to hit it accidently in the heat of battle.

Professional Killer Gaming Networking:
It's common to lose with bad feeling when playing online games because of slow network access. The GX70/GX60 Destroyer comes with Killer Gaming Networking which greatly reduces latency/ping in LAN games to ensure smooth online gaming and eliminates incorrect commands resulting from network lag. The enhanced online performance keeps you a step ahead of your foe, so you can come out ahead with your folks.

MSI Audio Boost headsets solution:
MSI's Audio Boost sound technology ensures that gamers can also enjoy superior wrap-around stereo sound when using headphones, because it employs the gold-plated Gold Flash audio jack which boasts ultra-low resistance, unparalleled conductivity, enhanced antioxidation, better transmission performance, and reduced noise to give you cleaner, crisper stereo sound reproduction. In addition, the embedded power amplifying chip (AMP) ensures top-quality stereo sound in high-end earphones, so you can hear dialog with comrades-in-arms more clearly and what's happening around you in the game and from which direction. The audio solution is ideal for serious gamers and music lovers alike.

High speed USB 3.0:
The MSI GX70/GX60 Destroyer also sports the latest USB 3.0 port with transmission speeds of up to 4.8Gbps--10 times faster than USB 2.0, so a 4.8GB HD DVD movie is transferred in a mere 8 seconds. Power transmission has also been ratcheted up 80% to 0.9 amperes to greatly enhance data transfer and recharging performance on external hard drives, flash drives, and various handheld devices.

no wonder that some investors start to sue for overhyped marketing. I just wonder why clients do not do the same.

The CPU will bottleneck the GPU, but there's sacrifices to be made at such a low price point...

Is almost certainly true.

After using 2 PCs with some significant bottlneck (single core athlon with 4650 GDDR3, Phenom II with 6950 unlocked) I shudder each time I see things such as this.

So, what is the price for the 17" model?

Also, we need some review to that M290X videocard

EDIT:
It seems that the M290X is just a rebrand of the 7970M or 8970M GPU, with very little GPU speed bump. That's all.
Shame on you AMD for deceiving again and again!

I like it though I wish they put the ability to increase BCLK and vcore in the BIOS because that would mean I could OC it for up to 30% more speed if the cooling and battery held up.

somebody should make a "thin" AMD gaming laptop.

all AMD gaming laptops are so fat they look like the laptops from the 90's

weren't laptops made to be portable?

They are fat because they need better cooling, and bigger battery. Is only natural.
Besides those are DRS (Desktop Replacement System), not real laptops.
If you want just to use FB, mail or play crappy games, you can always use your phone or a tablet.
