Just go through the install, it will ask you which drive, and then will ask you to format. With that size HDD, format with using NTFS.

Leave it as default, as it will take up the whole hard drive, then pick quick format. There is nothing wrong with quick format, it will use the default allocation size.

I beg to differ!!!! DO NOT DO A QUICK FORMAT !!! Quick Formatting is fine for a floppy drive but not for an OS hard drive! My opinion and we can be ok with different opinions right ?

Care to elaborate? Plus typing something in caps and using exclamation marks doesn't exactly make it look like "just your opinion".

The caps are there because it a bad idea , the opinion statement is because I was trying to be polite ....IF you want to read the whys ands what nots try starting here>>>http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302686

Sorry if I offended but there is RIGHT and there is NOT RECOMMENDED and there is WRONG. Take a read and judge for your self.;)

This is a "new" drive and a quick format is fine.

Well, from that link, all it does is explain the differences in formatting during a clean install. As this is a brand new PC and new disk, there is no need. You can peform a chdksk /r or chkdsk /f afterwards if you are paranoid.
