So i have bough me a new mouse pad the roccat hiro (hope to get it tomorrow) and was talking about wireless gaming keyboards and mice on another forum

All those few mice i have seen cost alot, where the cheapes is a logitech g700s and the roccat bluetooth mice

Why are there so few wireless gaming mice and all of them cost 2-3 times as much as a cheap gaming mouse with cable, is the wireless technology so expense ? A normal wireless mice isn't that cheap in fact a gaming mice with cable and a good wireless mice (non gaming) often cost less then a good wireless gaming mouse

The latest wireless gaming mice have no lag and are just as good as wired. But they are expensive. The older wireless mice and non gaming type are not good for gaming. If you cant afford a G602 or G700 I would go wired. I was just reading an article about this issue.

Because people are willing to pay more for them.

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder X8 wireless gaming mouse and love it! I also have a few wired gaming mice like the G9 and mx518 but its the X8 I prefer.

Cheap is in the eye of the beholder, and so is gaming mice to be honest. But your answer lies in the fact that a cable takes about 2 cents to make vs quite a bit more for a wireless transmitter and battery/charger power solution creations.

But even a standard wireless non gaming mouse and a wired gaming mouse is often cheaper then one wireless gaming mouse, WHY?

Why can't they combine these 2 mice and make a cheap wireless gaming mouse?

Non-gaming mice can get away with worse lasers. And cheap wireless gaming mice probably do the samething. Also "gaming" is a huge selling term, tack on that word and often the price of things rise simply because you search for "gaming mouse" rather than browsing through mice and finding one that suits your needs that isn't labeled as gaming.

Why not buy a refurb G700 (or G602 for you know who) :) ) ???

G700 for as low as 50 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VAM32E/?tag=tec06d-20

G700S (newer version for as low as 52: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BFOEY3Y/?tag=tec06d-20

G602 for as low as 48: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00E4MQODC/ref=sr_1_1_olp?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1392946814&sr=1-1&keywords=logitech g602&condition=used

Those two mice are awesome. I have the G700 and another member here has the G602 and we've even had a cute little debate on what mouse was best and I do agree that both are great. :)

+1: If you get a G602, you'll be glad you did. Runs like my G500 and batteries first time around lasted a month and a half.

It's a optical mice, what's the difference in games between optical and laser mice?

I really like the fast scroll wheel on my mx performance mice, the g700s is just less then 10€ in difference, so i can't se why i should buy the g602

Is it called mice or mouse?

Mouse is singular, mice is plural.

For example: "I use a mouse with my computer."
versus "I have a box full of old mice."

Anybody who know how good the battery life of the logitech g700s is?

I had a battery i had to replace on my mx perfomance because it wouldn't last my that long, bought some 2700 mah battry and it last me about 17 day when i use my pc every day for many hours (not gaming every day), which isn't that long compared to logitech's marathon mouse that last up to 3 years

G700 is the best gaming wireless mice if buyer has a mediocre budget. Ah well! wireless technology is not too expensive but yes wireless gaming mice are quite few in number.. Even I am skeptical about this!

I had to switch out the batteries after a month and a half, but I also work from home several days on this computer and when I'm not using it, my wife is. So the mouse gets a lot of action. I have two pairs of NiMH batteries for it. I just swap in one set when they die then throw the low ones on the charger.

Thé wave pro kit have something différent. You have place for 2 AA batteries but it use only one of the battery. So u can remove one it works on 1.5 volt means u have 2 times more juice to last longer.

i've got a bunch of wireless mice and keyboards here, and they all have massive input lag.

my GAMING wireless stuff however (logitech dinovo, G700) work great lag free.

they cost more... because they cost more. damn hard to make something update 500 times a second wirelessly without interference making it go to shite.

i love my G700, fyi. everything i wanted in a mouse.

I have a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 that works similarly. It will operate with only one battery in it. The second is for longevity.

I have a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 that works similarly. It will operate with only one battery in it. The second is for longevity.

How's the battery life on it?

upto 3 days, but i game at least 3 hours a day and use it for 2D stuff a lot more. i'd say even a heavy user gets 1 day +

uses standard AA battery, so you can swap batteries on the fly if you're too lazy to charge :p
