EKWB the people who made this.

Thats not the point the board uses the front jacks ports for 7.1 as there are only 3 jack ports on the back.

No even if you do it hits the block the connector pokes out to far :( .

I liked the EK one more :p .

Can you shave down a few mm off the plastic on the connector? Shorten it enough so that it plugs in. (The end where the wire is, not the end where the pins plug in) I've done this with PWM fan connectors.

Phobya has a tendency to make weird adapters for all kinds of interface cables, could always check if they have any 90 degree adapters or slim versions you can wire yourself.

EK Support -- Today, 11:28 AM Dear customer,

Please let us know. Usually customers attach audio cable before installing waterblock or remove audio card and attach it.

You can get a pin and unclip all of those cables, then put the raw cables with the little prongs on the end onto the connector in the right order.

If your not willing to do bend or cut the pins and connector buy a good usb sound card instead.

Hey,

Don't know if you've already fixed the problem, but I came up with a workaround.

I removed the wires from the header, cut the header a little less than half it's original size, bent the pins at a right angle, and super glued them in place in the header.

You can then attach it to the card, before installing it on the board, and it fits with room to spare.

I'll attach a couple of pictures.

I was thinking the same by looking up pin connector and making a a cable ( to preserve the origenal cable and take the plastic of and then use some shrink wrap..

Maybe I should have been more detailed when I mentioned that earlier. Pictures are much appreciated though!

Yer that was my idea but i broke two audio cables by snapping the connectors off from two old cases i had lol.

^^
They don't all bend so easy like i said mine broke. I ended up going optical so there was no need.
