I've had some of their HyperX Blue, which has the same specs as this, and it works fine, but to run at 1600/9-9-9-24, it requires 1.65 volts. Most other 1600 sticks run at 1.5v or even 1.35v. That means that these DIMMs are really 1333 sticks overclocked to 1600 using a massive voltage increase. If I'm going to use that much voltage, it will be for 2400 sticks like these - also a good price (these days).
Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) - $79.99, was $109.99 a week or two ago.

Regardless, its a pretty decent price for 8GB. Might be useful for an AMD system (like a Phenom II) since they like a little more voltage to be stable. Got some AMD "optimized" DDR3 1333 from both OCZ and Patriot memory and they run @ 1.65v.

I didn't know that, thanks for the info. I always wondered what that meant, "optimized for AMD". Weird, because lots of 1333 sticks can run 1.35v stable. Yet another power-hungry aspect of AMD systems...
