How much does a hard drive affect gaming.
I never had a SSD before.

neither. at 17.3 inches it would be useless in terms of mobility.
rather build a whole system for that money.

SSDs will not really affect gaming unless game is installed on it. with windows 8.1, boot times should be instant, since they are hardly 5seconds on my eco drive hdd.

i would chose this one myself
MSI GT70 2PC-1084XNL DOMINATOR PRO

it has an 870M in it which is a perfect balance among the 4 nvidia chips in question on the laptops.

I like this one too for the processor and the graphics, but the drawback is, the HDD would be a bottleneck i think and this one does not have an OS.

then i highly suggest you get a whole system if you dont really need the mobility everyday, say if you dont need to take it to class everyday etc.
3d cad rendering needs to run for hours at a time and that is never a good idea to do on laptops. not only will it be significantly slower, it will cause a lot of heat and could possibly reduce the laptops lifespan.

Will a 750GB HDD 7200rpm be a bottleneck in combination with a i7 4800MQ (2.7Ghz) and a GTX870m 3Gb when playing games?
I think i get better performance with a 128GB SSD , i7 4700 (2.4Ghz) and a GTX860m 2Gb, i think this will get higher framerates then the hardware above, am i right or may be not?
As i said earlier i never had a ssd before.

Shouldn't be a bottleneck, SSD should only affect load times of games and programs etc. Frame rates and so on affected by the graphics card and processor. So the faster the card and processor the better your frame rates.

Is a 128GB SSD , i7 4700 (2.4Ghz) and a GTX860m 2Gb good enough to play GTA IV and V on high settings? Or would a 3Gb card be needed?

If I'm going to sell my sony vaio I will but alienware for gaming purposes also the graphics card in the alienware is a wonderful Geforce with fine cooling system.
