Wasn't talking specifically too you, but even with water cooling on this card its dumb. Its built for LN2 and for benching. Its not a 24/7 card.

I agree.

If no extreme cooling is involved what is the point in getting the Kingpin over the normal Classified?

This is best card for LN2/Dice but except this best GTX780Ti on market and with highest GPU score out of box on market.
Anyway binned chips are binned chips, they don't put only golden samples inside but 50% better chance to find something nice than in other cards.
And you can use that how do you want, 1202MHz boost out of box is nice and nothing more. I didn't pay so big difference in money than in USA example.
720e compare to 765e and with this I got backplate for Classified Ti I need to pay plus... And I don't need immediately to change BIOS, card is 1072MHz, Classified is 1020 with stock BIOS... Than I make decision to buy this... If someone want to try this model I suggest to order no matter how he want to use, card is excellent and out of box.
In my country is reference ASUS only 40-50e less and when I import I will import best. She go under water and than on 1300MHz boost for 24/7.
Almost 18.000 3DMark 11 GPU score without even Precision installed.
Default everything... With mainstream Intel, not even i7-3930K.
I have strong feeling that this model overclocked is stronger than reference GTX770 SLI on fabric settings off course not some fabric overclocked GTX770.
That's insane speed for same generation and if we look, that was GTX680 last year.
And few other users for now use fabric cooler and they couldn't be more satisfied with this card.
I would not sell mine under 1500e and confirmation that friend received second same model and prepare to send me.

If someone built the ultimate GPU, one that blows everyone away, low power, massive FPS, tiny die's, Huge amounts of super fast low power memory and all fit in a single slot but, painted it the color of a 70's Camaro orange with purple LED triple 8mm fans?

Oh and it was less than $200?

Would anybody care that it looked cheap? Of course.

I could care less what the inside of my box looks like.

"What is point getting K|NGP|N name of card...??? How do you mean?
For me is important fact that two guys best in own jobs work together with most famous graphic card brand specialized for NVIDIA custom PCB cards.
Like I say that is excellent combination of experts and free mind company to apply their ideas and launch something unusual.
Customer decide how want to use that to look numbers and measure power or enjoy in visual look, use for 24/7 something special not reference card...
Anyway even people who never try to overclock will try that on this model, maybe not immediately to beat him to the dead and sell and buy other maybe enjoy in different way. Important is wide spectrum of options you have with this model... I'm sure some people who never try non reference cards bought Classified or K|NGP|N Classified series this years as premium products of high end series...Maybe someone keep this model and when price little drop and he upgrade on some better newer card start first LN2 session on this card to try what happen and compare scores with others... Why to try that on new 1000$ worth graphic card when he have in house some model from before 2-3 years made for LN2 too...Even with full equipment in house I would try first on GTX580 Classified ULTRA not immediately on such expensive card as this.

How many people here who complain about the cooler are actually going to buy one?
Of all of those people, who is actually going to keep the stock cooler equipped?
Of those people, how many of you can actually see your GPU cooler in your system?
Of those people, which of you actually give a damn?

Nobody? I thought not.
for the highest level, they should consider serious looks too

Yes, I run card on Air, soon I upgrade on custom loop but I will not keep 24/7 overclock card but I will try to OC, just for fun, but that's not some special fun for me.
For me is fun when I play Crysis 3 fact that my card is 200MHz faster than GTX780Ti and I didn't touch nothing.
I use my card for games and priority is drain last fps from GK110 in normal condition always stable card in every game, with normal BIOS, without saving some clocks in Precision or Afterburner. OK I will try to OC, but I will not leave card for 2-3 months and take next model. No money for LN2 session. But if someone offer out of box 500 points more GPU Score in Firestrike Xtreme than Matrix Platinum out of box, and warranty on that, why not that'w what I have when all fun with overclocking finish. Difference for premium models is 50-60$.
For me that's better than some 50$ cheaper model and overclocking for 70MHz every day to reach 1202MHz Boost.
Because we talk about luck than and I saw on review premium ASUS model unable to reach my fabric clock with 1200V. What than? If that happen? OC or not OC, water or air same.
I will use on 1200MHz boost 24/7 on water. That's almost Max for 115% power target. OK I have about 20MHz space, because 3DMark 11 on 1200MHz boost hit 110% power and for anything over I need unofficial BIOS. I will not play games with unofficial BIOS.
I'm only sorry because no normal BIOS with enabled boost and 130% power target.

Sounds like a waste of a high end non reference loaded with stuff for overclocking and benching.

You could have gotten a normal reference card and got the same performance and your 1200 core clock....

Can you give me warranty 3 years every day on 1200MHz...??? My driver can't reset clock because buggy game or something else.
Don't even to talk about place where I live ASUS reference GTX780Ti was 40e less than GTX780Ti KP Classified and same price as normal Classified, because I bought in EVGA Europe.
What you think about possible temps on reference card when boost on 1200MHz after 2h of playing new games. From other side KP Classified with 10mm dual cooler have better temps on 1200MHz boost and more silence than reference card on stock. But why I need to risk with overclocking GTX780Ti reference only because small number of KP Classified on market. Believe me everybody who really wish and need this card will find, but gamers have longer benefit of this model than any LN2 overclocker. I can say my chance to hit GTX780Ti capable to stay on 1200MHz in every game without driver stop working only in 2-3 games, without crash because buggy game is about 30%. Even less number will stay OK after 2-3 years. But than if I hit some very nice sample because that's 70MHz higher than better EVGA Superclocked version I need to face with investment in non reference cooler, backplate and than I come even close to KP Classified or even same and I still need to check Precision or GPU-Z before games.
This card have higher price because warranty on 1200MHz boost 3 years can't give you MSI or ASUS on their premium models. GIGABYTE try to do that and now they pull cards because people had problems with stability.
People prove that hundred times, 1250MHz stability in every benchmark is not warranty for 1200MHz stable boost in every game.

Well for one I can barely understand what you are trying to say, so there's that.

Your card is one out of all Kingpin 780Ti or 780Ti's in general that boost to 1200mhz out of the box(Your card might boost higher than the next guys). Each card boosts to a different clock depending on temperatures, and how good of a card it is in terms of quality, read up a bit on Kepler boost and how it works.

This has nothing to do with warranty. Hell, EVGA used to have lifetime warranty's on all their cards. 3 year warranty isn't that much either, but it doesn't matter for "enthusiasts" because we upgrade yearly anyways. (At this point im not even sure you are talking about WARRANTY service, do you want "warrant"?)

The card does not have a higher price than other 780Ti's because of warranty and your specific cards boost out of the box abilities. It costs more because of the way the card is built. Do you know who Kingpin is? This card is BUILT for that type of crowd specifically. I am pretty sure I read that EVGA would have shipped this card and started selling it without a cooler on it all together, because people who they expect to buy the card will likely take the cooler off right away and throw a waterblock or better yet a LN2 pot on it, but they have to ship it with something on it so they went with their ACX cooling with a clear shroud and different fans.

It's not true, most of people card boost on 1202MHz, some of them on 1189(that's lowest I saw), but I saw few cards with 1215MHz boost out of box.
I didn't saw 1150-1160MHz. Off course not because warranty, price is higher because nice custom design, but everything together justify higher price than card with 70MHz less...
No talking about card without cooler. They show whole card immediately 2-3 months before launch. And 3 years warranty on such high clock is OK, owner can sell card and if something happen to buyer after one year he can RMA. Before 10 years warranty was for person who register hardware.

No, EVGA rep on another forum mentioned the consideration of selling the card with no cooler, before it released.

The warranty was not 10 years, it was LIFETIME. Also you still have to register for warranty today, but now it transfers over if you sell it to someone.

They could sell far less cards without cooler. About 1/2 of customers still keep on AIR.
Some of will upgrade on water soon but they would miss card without cooler.
LN2 is still 1/4 of owners. Maybe about 50 people worldwide had money, time and interests in moment of launch to buy card without cooler and put under LN2 or Dice. Half of them didn't pay hardware last 5 years, nothing.
Their purpose is to provide more customers not to be only customers.
And maybe 50 more in next 6 months. But you can't make products strictly for them.

Buying a Classified Kingpin edition and only running on air for the life of the card is a shame and a waste truly.

You can get close to or equal performance with an MSI GTX 780 Ti Gaming or a Asus GTX 780 Ti Matrix Platinum.

Or even the EVGA GTX 780 Ti Classified (non-Kingpin) for $100 less.

Or even the EVGA GTX 780 Ti Classified (non-Kingpin) for $100 less.

Classified and Kingpin cards serve the same audience, Kingpin just has the name, and a few more features to take it a bit further.

Asus Matrix cards are also in the same relm of non-reference video cards.

Benching and extreme overclocking situations. Not cards built for the normal 24/7 gaming scenarios. Though you can use them that way if you so please, but you can get the same experience in games with lesser non reference or reference models.

Hell, if i had the money to do so id own a kingpin card, and it would be in its own system strictly for ln2 sessions.

So you are saying a stock GTX 780 would give me the same experience (performance) as my GTX 780 Classified? No, I know you aren't saying that. Must be my imagination.

Now if you want to show me some reference GTX 780s that will do 1200+MHz on 1.16v or less then we will say you are correct.

Mine does 1200 with no need for voltage increase, and voltage limited to stock BIOS it came with and I can run 1254 all day. Throw a modded bios up to 1.3v and I can take my card to 1400.

For right now however, I can not supply screenshots for proof as I am away from my computer. It is currently a 5 hour drive away from me at my apartment at school.

I run it because its the max I can do within the limits Nvidia allows. I will run about 1.22v at 1300 sometimes, but if I run 1358-1400, its for quick bench runs in FireStrike and Heaven (of which I wish I had a Classified or higher end non reference card for), but gaming is my main concern.

Ooo people I don't want to replay. I didn't pay 860e KP Classified instead 750e for Normal Classified.
I tell you again, I had about 800e for card. GTX780Ti reference in Serbia is 720e, GTX780Ti Classified without backplate is 729e in EVGA Europe, backplate 19e.
I was ready to buy that only I wait to see price of KP Edition because people talk about 100e more or 1000$ card... Suddenly I saw price 765e KP Classified with backplate.
No 100e less, no 50e less. 729e+19e vs 765e. And Classified is most elegant model on market. How much cost GTX780Ti Matrix Platinum 665e???
I payed my card 765e+10e shipping. I could pay and normal Classified 729e+19e+10e shipping. Simple, for 765e this best option.
People who know how this model is cool pay 1100-1200$, it's important they are satisfied. EVGA is better and more reliable graphic card manufacturer then MSI.
EVGA give warranty on higher clock. People are satisfied if they can play games not only benchmark after overclocking on same clock as I have out box.
I could pass 40e cheaper for normal Classified but it's really not important, I would pay 50more for 1250MHz boost or 1300MHz boost default. But no such model.
I don't know exactly price of Matrix Platinum but this card is visibly stronger because higher clock, and overclocking bring and some risk.
I can tell you it's very nice when only after driver installation you know your graphic card boost 1200MHz where need. It's much much better than overclocking alone.
We can overclock with some unofficial BIOS but for every day warranty on everything what you can get from 115% power target is nice hardware. I prepare half of money for hole custom water loop. That will cost almost 500e, I have more money but I must order sleeve cables for SuperNOVA 1000P2. Soon I build watercooling and card with CPU go under water.
