Should i buy this power supply?

Hello ,i will be changing my power supply that i have had for 3 years and i've been looking at many options i have. I ended up to the XFX ProSeries 650w core edition full wired for 80 euros(+shipping).

My current specs are:
i5 3570k 4.0GHz(will probably add a cooler and oc further)
Nvidia GTX 770 1333/1920
8GB RAM 1866MHz Corsair
Z77 Extreme4 Asrock
1 HDD and 6 fans(will add another hdd and an ssd)

Is this power supply good and should i buy it?

650w would be adequate for that spec, but that's a 750w you linked to, and it's overpriced for a bronze rated PSU.

I have an XFX Black Edition 850w that's silver rated and was one of only two PSUs that got a 10/10 performance rating at jonnyGURU at the time of it's debut, but lately I'm not that impressed with XFX's pricing. You used to be able to get silver rated PSUs from them for what they're selling bronze ones for now.

Their bronze 650w is $80 at Newegg. For $10 more you could get this Gold rated Seasonic 650w.

I won't be getting it from newegg,i just linked it from there so i can show the specs. In my local shop that seasonic one costs almost 30 euros more so i won't really go for that.

Seems to be a decent Seasonic OEM unit- don't see you having any trouble with it based on your specs.

I have the XFX Pro 650W XXX Edition (which basically means it's semi-modular) and the modular cables are very good for cable management, and allowing great airflow for those six fans.

I'm not a huge fan of the Corsair CX series if there's the possibility to buy a better power supply. For a more budget build, I would maybe be inclined to look at the CX series, but if the OP has enough money to get a better PSU, I wouldn't recommend that series.

So, I read many post that XFX "Pro core" is made by SeaSonic but, they're old post, I don't know if they're doing the same thing.

It seems like they changed (the pics of 550w are different, is no "pro core" anymore.)

I like this PSU, cheap and it seems like all I need.

Should I buy it? TS-550w still made by seasonic?.

Hello,

XFX have recently refreshed their line of PSUs (basically a new version of the Pro series), with the TS series (fully wired), and the XTR series (fully modular). I would imagine they stuck with Seasonic, but I cannot confirm it yet because they're pretty new.

However, if I was to choose, the Seasonic G-series has 80+ Gold, and is a very solid PSU. If you have the money, I would go for it.

I can't confirm it, but there has no rumors of XFX changing it's OEM for it's power supplies, so I would be 99% confident in saying Seasonic is still making XFX power supplies.

Looks great then - I've just seen the XFX TS 550 is 80+ Gold for a very reasonable price here in the UK. Unfortunately we don't have the Seasonic G-550 sold anymore, at least for a reasonable price.

Yep, that does settle it. Seasonic is still making XFX power supplies (all of them in fact)
