So naturally I think my weakest points here are the Mobo/CPU (getting old) and possibly the Ram.
I am thinking of swapping over to an Intel i7 and was looking at something along this lines
Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VII RANGER, Intel Z97, Socket 1150, Motherboard

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K Haswell CPU Without Fan Haswell Socket 1150

Cooler: Corsair H100i
Link: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/cors...radiator-and-fans-s115x-2011-1366-fm1-fm2-am2
The CPU I would have prefered to go for a 4790k but I can't seem to find only, one a 4790 (so no unlocked multi if I am correct?)
Cooler, I need a new one as whilst my H50 is suitable I plan on reusing the old mobo/cpu for a PC for my boys/media centre.
Any suggestions though, I've always run AMD since now but the prices of Intel are appealing to me. This is about the "MAX" of my budget but I do have some wiggle room.
Mobo's I am pretty flexible but I would prefer to stick with Asus, they've never steered me down a wrong path and I have only ever had trouble with GB,
