New Gaming Build

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to build a new gaming rig and was hoping someone here could recommend the components. I'd like to use it to store important docs and pictures/videos as well.

My budget is about $2000 not including the monitor. Was thinking about mirrored ssds and was wondering if that makes sense or is there a better way to go. Like ssd for os and mirrored drives for data?

What do you plan to use the PC for? What kind of gaming genre do you play? Would you do video or photo editing?

What resolution would you be playing games at?

Some important questions before I suggest a build, just so we can cater the build to best fit your needs.

2 Grand can build you a very nice computer, less even, but you question is a little vague.

What is your timeframe, now? A few months? There are a couple of interesting CPU's coming in the next month, or so +.

Resolution, plays a large part, as does what you want to upgrade to.

So, yea, try to be a little more specific about games you want to play, what you are storing versus editing, so on.

well, $2000 can already build a god-like pc
but like they said, we do need more info for recommoned

well, no OS yet
if you think you dont need K series, just replace the cpu and mb to i7-4770 and msi H97 gaming 3
(well, I like K series more, and gaming 9 ac's onboard audio is good)
I think this pc can work well with Watch dogs, and GTA 5(which just shows on E3)

but like Arjai said, if you can wait few more week or month, there comes out a new 4790 cpu, should be better than 4770 though.

While I think that's a good suggestion based on the budget, I think I would rather wait until the OP replies so that we can best suggest a build based on his exact needs. Perhaps they'll realise that they can get a build perfectly fine for their needs for less than their budget.
