On a mainstream socket? Looks.

On an enthusiast socket? No more throttling VRMs and looks ;)

Well my motherboard has the option to be watercooled that's why I was asking, it's the Asus V Formula

IIRC, one or more of Daves motherboard reviews included ones w/ watercooling options. I had asked him about it and he was of the same opinion. It's fluff. You could argue more lifespan, but at the end of the day, is putting the effort into fittings, tubing and restricting flow worth it? Will it get you a better overclock? Probably not.

The only valid argument for it could be noise reduction with a good w/c loop.

Oh.... one other argument for doing it? It's fun building overkill ;)

Nothing really... looks. Generally its pretty restrictive and there are no performance gains to be had. So unless you like the (expensive) look of it. Do not bother.

In rare cases, the X79 VRM's got a bit toasty, but that is nothing that proper case airflow or active cooling couldn't resolve.

I've been looking for a VRM water cooler for my board, but only because I'm pushing sig-rig decently hard. I was able to manage VRM temps quite well with a fan zip-tied pointing on the back of the socket/VRMs and one sitting on my GPU pointing towards the stock VRM heatsink.

Keep in mind that VRMs are usually pretty good at their job even at rather high temperatures.

I only want the water cooling so that I can take out the front and rear fans and put my side panels back on. Also, looks. Oh dear gods the looks.

You have AMD... makes sense as they seem to need that extra cooling.

You are certainly not wrong. When the voltage goes up and my CPU starts pulling as much as my GPUs, the VRMs do start getting a bit hot. :p

I forgot to clarify something, my rig it's watercooled, (just CPU) but I think it's overkill a 420 radiator plus a 240 radiator just to cool a single CPU even if it's overclocked to 4.5 and that's why I was thinking to cool as many parts as I can with my watercooling,

So you already have the cooling equivalent of 6x120mm worth of radiators just cooling the CPU now?

Personally, I'd probably go for it given that, plus GPU... assuming you have the pump capacity.

And a supercharged V8 :)

Seriously, you've got a hell of a lot of cooling capacity going unused there. Figure you could dump 1KW worth of heat depending on fan settings.

Radiator fans. I keep mine so low they're barely audible. And my 3750k is happy at 4.7 even in summer.

I don't see massive amounts of airflow over your VRMs, you have way more than enough cooling capacity, and all it would cost is a couple lengths of tubing, so I'd say go for it. The barbs on the board are 3/8, which it looks like you're already using.

The only downside will be some added flow resistance and it's not really necessary. Resistance will be more than ideal, unfortunately.

Check out this thread on the [H]ard forums.
tl;dr: Heat isn't an issue to begin with.

Pointless for intel chips unless HEDT, although using a 2700k they get warm. But ivy i wouldnt go through the hassle.

AMD really seems to push the vrms, and overclocking and cooling all components is key!

invest your time and money into something else.

Sweet cooling system you need to get some more stuff hooked into it. Get the VGA watercooled.

I forgot to clarify something, my rig it's watercooled, (just CPU) but I think it's overkill a 420 radiator plus a 240 radiator just to cool a single CPU even if it's overclocked to 4.5 and that's why I was thinking to cool as many parts as I can with my watercooling,
Would not hurt to add some tubing onto those VRM's, it can only prolong the parts life by keeping things cooler and help with clocking and what not.

With that system, I would definitely consider adding your GPU into the loop as well. You have alot of extra cooling capacity to do so!
