I was planning on getting a cheaper board originally. What do you think about the asrock fatality board? I'm going for a red and black theme.

I was just checking, as a long term AMD user I've nothing against the company but the fx-8350 is realistically older than sandy bridge now and things have moved on a bit

I was planning on going with an I5 but then I get a cooler right now and I hear there isn't much difference.

Looks good! 8350 is great, if you splurge a little more, 9590 monster is out there. Or, you can save a bit and get the 8320 (same chip as 8350)

Crosshair is a great board, plus it is one of the few that can support the 9590 is you ever go there. If your going to scoop up into AM3+, you are looking at the right stuff. Try and get the best that platform has to offer as it likely wont be around that much longer, limiting your ability to upgrade in the future.
