What graphics card for adventure/puzzle games

Hi,
I am ay a loss as to what to buy, and getting fed up with all the possible combinations
It is, I think, between the geforce 660, 750 TI or the Radeon 260x or 270x.
I am not a serious gamer, and will only be playing adventure/puzzle games like, Black Dahlia, Syberia, Daemonica, and heavy rain.
The cpu will be probably be either an Intel I5 4460 or 4690.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, plus of course any other ideas/reccomendations.

Without knowing all your specs, I just need to say any discrete GPU like you have listed is overkill for most adventure games, as most integrated graphics on current Intel chips or an AMD APU can handle them. Yes, there are some exceptions, of course.

If you are dead set on buying a GPU, then probably the 750Ti is your best option. It would be able to handle the odd adventure game that is a little more graphically demanding.

That GPU will handle everything if lowering the settings.

But yeah, that's what I would buy too.

The cpu is overkill for such games. Core i3 or a non k model apu will handle them

Thanks for all the replies.
I have looked at all combos and have a choice between the following:

4460 with a Radeon 280x price £604

4460 with a Radeon 270x price £533

4460 with a Geforce 750TI price £505

4690 with a Radeon 270x price £558

4690 with a Radeon 280x price £631

4690 with a Geforce 750TI price £531

All come with 4gb corsair, 120gb ssd and win7

The difference in pricing say between the 4690 with the 270x or the 750TI is minimal, for an extra £27, I am getting a far superior card, which I think puts the 750TI out of court.
I think that the 4690 with the 270x appears to be the best combo, based on price/performance.
I have also to consider that my son will visit and want to play serious games on the pc.
At this level of PC, there is not a great difference in pricing, and as I am an old fart then the 4690 + 280x is not exactly exorbitant, although the difference between the 280x and 270x cards does seem minimal, for the extra £73.
I would like to have your opinions on whether I should stay with Win7, which I have on my present laptop, or to move onto Win8. My gut feeling is that I stay with Win7, but would appreciate your ideas

If you haven't brought anything yet and really wanted to saved yourself some money, I'd recommend the a10 APU crossfired with the 250. It has power for modest performance at 1080p also

It appears to me that the AMD is fine if I am multitasking, which I never do, so the intel i5 series appear best for me. I will go for the 4690 + 270x, as there seems little difference between the 270x and the 280x.

The 280X is the 7970 GHz edition from last year. If you start playing more game genres you might want the 4690 with the 280x... otherwise the 4460 with the 270x will be fine for what you need
