So I have been waiting for last Friday (Yesterday from this post) for quite awhile now looking forward to purchasing a new Haswell-E chip (5930K), DDR4 Ram, and a Motherboard to bring it all together. Now originally I was stuck on which motherboard to purchase because many that were coming out sounded pretty slick and nice (That and the NDA was keeping a lot under wraps). So I waited and finally after seeing preliminary pricing and the launch I had decided to go with the MSI Gaming 9 Variant for its feature set, looks, and the price.
So newegg decided not to stock it early (Or at least I Never saw it) but they had the others including the MSI Gaming 7 and the ROG Rampage V (Which sold out extremely fast). So I kept waiting and checked back every once in awhile while at work to see when (Or IF) it would ever be posted for sale. Then it finally showed up and I was ready, I put them in the basket and got ready to check out until I ran into an issue...
While checking out, I noticed that the price listed at the top of the page was 1278.97 but when I got down to pay it told me the price was going to be $1398!!! So im sitting there looking at this wondering what is up with this and began investigating my cart. I had a free Steel Series headset in the cart but it was listed right at 0 bucks because of the purchase with the MSI motherboard. I then checked the other products and did the math which with the free shipping included still came out to 1278.97. So I was starting to get curious until I noticed an odd addendum on the MSI Motherboard, it was listed as Freight Shipping at a price of $119.99 for the base shipping price.
I stared for a few minutes thinking this cannot be right as its listing this motherboard in the same category as a T.V (Big Screen) or a washing machine. I was beyond confused at how this could be, I mean my Corsair Obsidian 800D from newegg was only 10 bucks to ship and I hope to god it fits that motherboard otherwise we have a new size motherboard on our hands that takes special delivery.
Contacted newegg and talked with a Customer Service Agent and he was confused by what I was telling him and decided to check for himself. Low and behold he now sees exactly what the problem is and see that for some reason the package is labeled as freight or white glove treatment. He could not override it after a long list of tries even from his manager and told me I could not order the motherboard until they get this fixed next week unless I paid the wrong shipping charge because the system actually was forcing the expensive shipping no matter what. He said they would honor any pricing for my account and deals (Including the free headset) when I finally can purchase it right next week.

So I guess I like any of the normal newegg customers are stuck for awhile Unless of course you would think its funny to see a Freight Truck (Or really just a bigger than normal delivery vehicle) come bring you a motherboard
Thought id share because all in all it was a pretty fun situation, the CSA guy was pretty nice and tried to help but there was nothing more he could do.
tl:dr Newegg messed up and listed the new MSI Gaming 9 X99 Motherboard as a heavy appliance needing a freight truck to deliver it and costs well over 100 bucks to ship until they fix it.
