I have my core 2 duo cooled with the Zalman 9500 LED I am looking to know a few more degrees off my temps would an upgrade to the Zalman 9700 LED be worth while or does anyone know another cooler that can handle my e6300 @ 3.2 with lower temps than early 40's when idle?

Looking to order one today.

Thanks in advance.

Not to bothered about the price to be honest, the highest priced fan I have seen is £40 so anything around that a few quid either way.

I just don't fancy water cooling at the moment.

I was actually gonna suggest the Ultra Chilltec, but it's a bit out of that price range. $130 US, don't know how that equates, however.

Ok, I was also using the Zalman 9500. I did a lot of research, and found the Enzotech Ultra-X was the perfect choice. It's had great reviews, it dropped my cpu/system temps by about 5 degrees and cools the memory well. It's like the TT Big Typhoon on steroids, without the weight. Here's links to the product and review:

The Enzotech runs about $60. The Aerotech Dominator is similar, I think. However, the build quality is much better in the Enzotech. It's easily the best cooler I've owned, better than mt Freezer pro, or my Zalman. I do like the Ultra Chilltech. If it was cheaper, I'd try it. It's twice the price as the Enzotech.

Thanks for all the advice guys I have just ordered a Coolermaster Gemini 2, I really fancied the Enzotech Ultra-X or Ultra Chilltec but couldn't find them in stock in the UK anywhere.

I am going to load this thing with 2 120mm fans and with my 5 case fans plus my PSU fan I hope this lowers the temps that bit extra. If not I will be keeping my eye out for one of the others.

It sucks when you can't get your hands on items you want. It's too bad some of the good etailers don't do the UK.
