Okay, So I've seen mention of the sequal to Starcraft around the forums. I was wondering if any of you know anyting else about this. Your input is much appreciated.

Blizzard will announce something in the starcraft universe may 19th. Most likely Starcraft 2, however it could be something else as well.

A mmorpg would be interesting as well, it's fun to say "power overwhelming" all day long.

I don't know how that would work. Like there are only 3 races in starcraft(zerg, terran, and 'toss) but warcraft has 8, I believe. So this would put constraints on where to go. I think Blizzard needs to strengthen the Starcraft story line before they can make and mmorpg.

Xel'Naga are #4, however, all 3 playable races exist of multiple factions. They are divided. Next to that Blizzard can introduce new races.

Yes. But if Blizzard were to introduce new races many fans of the series would say all it was doing was cashing on in two of it's franchises to turn a quick dollar.

I didn't mean it like that. If Blizzard were to come out w/ a new game in a whole new genre with a bunch of new races people would say it's just a way to make cash. If they were to make a new game in the same genre it with new content it would be considered to be an actual attempt at progressing the series.

Suh weet. This is what I have been wanting. Just because a game was based on a 2d platform back in 97, it didn't make it any less fun. Just because there wernt ten billion things to mess with and confuse you, it was a FUN game.

Now take that same tried and true, kickass platform, reskin it, put some better controls, maybe a few new races and put it out on the shelves with no bugs.

Well, the FAQ only speaks about Terran, Protoss and Zerg, the oldies.. However, I assume "the hybrids" (this is the Zerg/Protoss hybrids you're talking about, right?) have a place in the story.
