Fan Placement

Hi All,
I need help to figuring out which way i should point the fans in the case.

Ive been using this Raidmax case. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156062
which can hold up to a total of 5 fans
1- back(underneath PSU)
2-side panel (1 up in the CPU area, and the other near the video card area)
1-Front (bottom by the Hdd's)
1-Other side panel (up higher by the DVD drivres)

and I just ordered a new CPU cooler

(i think this one blows air towards the CPU instead of the ones that suck out)

right now i got all the fans as exhaust, which is probably not a good idea (especially with that new cooler).

Everybody here probably has a lot more experience than me in this field. Im a bit of a noob at this.
So, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have two intake in the front, 1 intake on the side panel, 1 on the top for exhaust, and 1 in the back for exhaust. I think my airflow is pretty good. Ask for pics if you want.

Ok. You're intake is 120mm and everything else is 80mm.

Front = intake
Lower-Side = intake (cool down video card area)
Upper-Side = intake (Feed the PSU some cold air)
Rear = exhaust (suck out hot CPU air, find a really high cfm fan there)

Have your cpu fan facing the front of the case so the air passes through to the rear exhaust of the case.

or....

Use that larger 120mm front fan as the exhaust, turn the rear into an intake, and turn your cpu cooler the other way.

See which way you get better results with, either way use the 2 side fans as intakes. It's really too bad that that rear exhaust isn't 120mm. Good luck

I think that's just fine

You can also cut a hole on the rear to have better cooling (as Freaksavior did)

Some argue that you should have the same amount of air going in as going out.

IMO, I doubt it matters too much - the pressure inside your PC isn't exactly going to build up, but worth keeping in mind.

i used a good old fashion dremal...and all the mini holes where already there.

My fan is facing down and I have the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 64 too, does it matter which way it goes?

I had the Foxconn one (C51XEM2AA- 8EKRS2H) I had to ship it back because it was hmmm.. lets see.. whats the best word to describe it.. = Garbage !

My setup when i get the that mobo is going to look like this.
- That Raidmax case i needed help with (5 fans)
- Hiper 580W P.S (blue one)
- Asus 590SLI mobo
-AMD 4200+ Windsor 2.2GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor
- Geil 2GB(2x1GB) DDR2800 4-4-4-12
- Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s HDD
- MSI NX8600GT-T2D256E OC (will buy another soon for SLI)
- ViewSonic 19' LCD WS
- Pioneer 112D DVD burner
- LG GSA-H42N DVD Burner

I cant hardly wait till i get that thing running again .

Here are a few pics of how it looks now (its seen better days ) but will be something great really soon.

Im using my movie encoding PC as backup (pentium D system) which is really not that bad ill post pics if anyone wants to see them

The PSU fan works as an exhaust as well. Another 80mm fan modded to the rear for exhaust might help. From my experience 120mm fans seem to push alot more air than ever 2 80mm's. That's using all Antec 3spd fans anyways.
