Do you think that this unit, plumed FROM the pump fittings with 3/8 ID-1/2 OD tubing, would cool my CPU better than what I have now? I know it is an older Koolance model but I figure if I increase the tube size up a notch,It should perform very good,...what do you all think?

Yes depending on the pump like giorgos th. said. If the pump is to slow it will only be a small improvement. Bigger tubbing needs a faster/higher pump volume to realy improve cooling a lot.

I read that this thing has 2 pumps that run in tandem doing 1066 cc per min..I am thinking of coming right off the tank with the larger tube. Here is a picture.

A bigger Radiator would give you better results than 1/2" tubbing anyways, I don't realy think its worth the work to change the tubing. You may get a few degrees with that but a better radiator and better fans will get better results.

What the gph on the pump you got?

The review I read said 160 cc's per min.I am not sure how to convert that to GPH.
I also have one of these and want to incorporate this in my system.Any ideas?

160 cc/min comes out to 2.5 gallons per hour. Thats kinda low. Get a pump from the hardware store something around 10 to 15 gallons per hour. Much improved cooling with a good sized tank.:toast:

Link never loaded the page. That advice I gave you came from an old freind thats been watercooling for years, most of his systems are passed through his mini fridge next to compy (set on low temp, but keeps sodas cool). He hates the tiny little pumps that come with most kits and uses the ones for water fountains because they have a higher GPH and last a lot longer.

I am currently using A reptile tank filter pump that pushes like 60-80 gph and it works Great!
The great thing about a reptile or fish pump is that they are designed to run 24/7 and plug into a wall outlet so you do not suck more juice from your system.:rockout:

I guess it's too big to fit inside the case, you could mount it on top, but that doesn't always look good. I imagine using some quick connects, you could run the tubes to the back of case conect the quick connects to the case and then run tubing from the back of the case to the cooler and back to the case thru another pump. This would allow the cooler to be under the desk where the air might be cooler and the noise away from PC, but takes a lot of tubing and another pump to get the water back up to the case. Shorter tubes and you can set it on top or on the desk, either way that fans gonna make some noise.

If the case is big enough, put it inside exhausting out the back to give airflow to the case.

LOL new mod for my liquid cooler. I replaced the small 1 fan radiator with a custom made 3 120mm fan transmission cooler I pulled out of a 1980 honda accord my idle temps dropped from 30c average to 23c the only thing I am not happy with is that my PWM is hitting 42 because I have so much juice running through my MB.

My next mod will be a second PSU to run my vid cards and fans.
