Yep, got the infamous RROD tonight. Only 6 months old, and mostly used for HD-DVD watching. Might game on it a couple of hours a week, tops. Oh well, time for a new one, I suppose. I wonder if Best Buy will let me trade up to the Elite? lol

unlucky fella, i've had mine since launch and is still going strong, same with my wii, but it was the PS3 i had problems with.

none of them would play blu-ray disc, and when i got one that did i was bored by that time, according to some sites there is a 1 in 3 failure rate with blu-ray.

at least MS will replace it, but not sure moving to the elite would make much of a difference, but it might have the modified heat sink. MS are not move to 65nm chips till end of the year i still hear!

I wouldn't mind being able to return mine, then pay an extra $80 to get the bigger hard drive and the HDMI port.
