Bastards 266.00 was intels rcommended price. AMD should be happy because those lower prices could have killed them. Thank the lord I didn't pay that price. :D I worked my balls off not too lol!!!

I'm pretty sure this wouldn't effect intel...the retailers bought from intel at the "cost" of what intel had anticipated for the retail recommended price...meaning it's just the retailers making out...
correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that's how it goes

You have it right, but trt didn't suggest otherwise. He's just stating that the price gouging on the retailer's part, only serves to help AMD in the end. I'm sure Intel doesn't want to see this gouging happening, either.

EDIT: *sigh* I want a Quad. :( lol

I want my 6000+ back and my m2n32 sli deluxe AM2, besides this quad this was a total waste. I think my old AM2 board was AM2+ ready. I kinda still hate intel, bastards went and lured me to the darkside with these wicked chips. I think if AMD doesn't go bankrupt they are about to put the smack down on Intel if the spec's I read are real on the new AMD chips. I bet the darkside has another Deathstar Pointed at AMD right after they do.
I hope not but who knows.

I'm thinking about getting a pentuim d or e2160 until more chips get out. The price if you noticed is getting competative. A few days ago the prices were way over 300.00 now today I found several sites as low as 288.00 to 300.00. Even new egg has come down. I bet in 2 weeks they will hit Intels recommended price but we will see I'm still waiting on a RMAed motherboard and I still have plent of time. plus all the b3 chipps will be gone by then.
