What video card should i get?

I have a 7900GS 256mb right now that runs 555/902mhz(core/mem) Should i get a
ATI
HD2600XT 256mb
HD2600 pro 512mb
x1950pro 256mb
Nvidia
8600GTS 256
7900GT 256mb

What video card should i get or should i just get a new HSF for my 7900GS? I am wanting more FPS in games like
Need for speed carbon
NFS MW
and would like good FPS in Test drive unlimited
So tell me what you think.Also if i get a new HSF for my 7900gs i will get another gig of RAM and maybe another HDD to RAID 0 them or if i get another card i will try to sell or trade my 7900 than do the upgrades.

Whatever video card you get, make sure it has DX 10... Other than that the choices are yours to make. Most importantly, check out Techpowerup.com's review database!

I want to know what one is faster and one day when vista has all of the bugs worked out and i have all my upgrades i will go with it but i don't see that anytime soon.Also i want something that will be faster than my 7900GS when overclocked

Evga makes some models already OC'ed...I think they do the the warranty thing though

I read someplace that you can overclock EVGA's cards and not void the warranty that is why i overclock my EVGA and it came overclocked.

you shoudl get a 512mb version of a dx10 card.. a 2600 with gddr4 is nice. faster than a 1950 pro too.

I just let ATI tool find the max overclock than scanned it for artifacts for 45mins than kept upping it till i got errors than lowered it 5mhz and it has been running just fine.

what ev.can we get back to what video card i should get.I have read too many times that the 8600GTS gets pwned by the 7900GS even with both overclocked.So i don't want the 8600

I would go with the 8600gts man, they are known to oc quite well and perform ok. The only downside is for another ~$90 you can get a 8800gts...

So I would be tempted to save a little more.

The 2600XT is also a nice card, there are a few people here with one of those and they oc heaps as well.

I wouldn't upgrade from a GS to a GT thats for sure, it wouldnt be worth it.

X1950pro isn't a huge upgrade from a 7900gs either

2600pro isn't a huge upgrade either.
