use coolbits and underclock the core, its getting old and looks like it is dying slowly tell him to start saving up for a new card, sorry.

I did underclock the core to 300, but the same thing happens.
So, it's time to buy a new one...

good point, it could be overheating. what does your forceware say its running at? if you think its too hot check the heatsink and see if it is think with dust.

i only thought it was that as a clan mate of mine has a 68u that has a zalman blower on it and his showed the same artifacts and dropping the clocks cured it at the cost of some fps.

If you can take a screenshot you have either an overheating GPU, too far overclocked GPU, or a dieing GPU.

Overclocked can be easily take out of the equation.

Heat is normally a discoloration first...

my money is you have a dieing/bad GPU.

RMA if you have a warranty, otherwise you could maybe try a volt mod....

Will try to do a volt mod, maybe it will extend it's life for some time.

With increased voltage you need to watch its temp.

But a volt mod could also potentially push it over the edge... not like it isn't about dead as it is but it could! :p
