im full of the questions today..

Would it be worth ditching my old 1GB of PC2700 and getting PC3200, is there a noticeable speed difference? My FSB is moar than high enough so theres no bottlenecks.

i had pc2700 and swapped to pc5300. it made a big speed increase so swapping from pc2700 to pc3200, you shouls see a difference (xp will load slightly faster and games and other programs that require alot of memory should load faster.

you would be better off getting 1gb ram cards so if you want you can put more in later so they aren't a waste of money

Sell your memory, 2x1GB. Trust me, I alt-tabbed out of BF2 once and my PC was using (GASP!) 1.5GB RAM. You don't want your PC relying on swap-file. BTW, that's without a firewall and anti-virus program.

Quicker RAM will benefit as it will get the data through it faster. If you had 1GB of like 50MHZ ram and 512MB of 200MHz ram, I would ditch the 1GB for the 512MB.

There you go, 2GB of good, standard DDR400 memory for under $100. At fist glance, A-DATA may seem like a generic brand, but they are actually good manufacturers. I wouldn't put them up there with Crucial and Corosair, but they're around the Kingston/Patriot level to me.

Thanks for the replies,
1.5GB :O BF2 is the reason why im getting more RAM...it takes forever to load, its almost not worth playing the game after the level has loaded. I think i might invest in 2x1gb then, im sure itll be worth it :)

Anyone wanna buy 2x512 PC2700? :)
