Athlon X2 upgrade

can someone help me. the a8r32mvp is a939 mobo.want to upgrade to 64x2 dual core 4800+

If the x2 4800+ is socket 939 it will work. However, an AM2 4800+ will not go int he A8R32.

Yes, it can take an X2 4800+. Just make sure you buy a 939 cpu.
Ii gest i will return this one it did have 939 on the box.

If it doesn't have 939 on the box and its an AMD then most likely its AM2, just return it and ask for a 939 replacement

why go with a 4800+? when they dont clock,unless that is you dont overclock?

Go with a 3800 X2, most chips can overclock to 2.7-2.8 easily on air.
PROBLE DO THAT.iT HARD TO FIND A X4800 FOR A 939 MOBO.AM ARE TAKEING OVER.

Yeah, it sucks that 939 isn't being made for you guys anymore. You can also look into getting a 939 Opteron dual core. Most of them clock very well. Usually anywhere from 2.8-3GHz.

my X2 4200+ gets 2.85 all day long with out changing the voltage at all. and it is 939
