Im on the look out for a good, yet affordable PSU. Obviously I will need something that will handle my system and any overclocking I may do ;) I also want it to look good and preferably be of a modular variety :)

Heres what I like the look of so far:

Kingwin 600W Modular - http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=132280 (for some reason ebuyers description of this is messed up but Ive checked elsewhere and I believe this is the 'Mach 1' model with dual 12V rails)

Hiper 580W Type-R Modular - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/98564

Tagan TG600 IXEYE 600W Modular - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/132070

OCZ StealthXStream 600W - http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...hvd19wcm9kdWN0X3Jldmlld3M=&product_uid=127861

OCZ GameXStream 700W - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/115881

any advice would be good :)

I have just bought the SteathXstream 600W, take a look at my specs for what I am running, all I will say is that I have owned around 12 PSU's including Seasonic, Enermax and Tagan and this Quad rail is by far the best I have owned, smooth as silk, rock solid stable, 85% efficiency rating and low price. All are decent, the Hyper would probably be my last choice (I have one of those as well) but you wont go too wrong with any, if you really need 700W then fine but if 600W is enough, there is little to choose between the Tagan and the StealthXstram so go for the cheapest!

PS: You can get the SteathXstream from Aria for under £50 and thats the best5 deal around at the moment, I got mine from there, ohhhh and the BIOS is done thanks, I am upto 12,293 on 3D Mark 2006 now!!!!!

ocz and tagan from that list, when it comes to affordable, you want to look at the efficency of the psu, and not the price, the efficency will save you on power, which will add up quickly over time. http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/119501/rb/0 80plus certified for efficency, seasonic is probably the best oem out there for psu's.

Thanks for the advice. Do you think the "OCZ StealthXStream 600W" would be good for me then? (Tatty recommends it)

I'd have to say the Stealthxtream, because of the price, theyre a good psu (FSP Epsilon based)
