Wow I want Phenom! Too bad I'd have to ditch my beloved AIW X800XT AGP card..

And the fact they aren't releasing benchies is either a REALLY good thing, or it means that they're still getting killed by Core 2 architecture (<--- prob this one). My love for the underdog hopes it's a good reason tho.

Yall have problems, sheesh. This is the most information we have gotten so far from AMD and it speaks volumes, blind mute my ass.

The HTT speeds are incredible and so are the clocks. I dont care about Benchmarks right now, I care about quality product being released.

To most people, benchmarks and quality go hand in hand.

That doesnt make sense to me. They will be out, the fact people are getting mad about not seeing them is a little bit obsurd.

The 9600/2.4Ghz sure sounds good to me. I am thinking it has a 12x multi. That would make it possible for 3Ghz at 1:1 with some good ram. I am not one for dividers. I want the easy math.
BTW, How do you pronounce it? Is it Phe-nom, or Phen-um? Or is it Venom?

I'm pretty sure I read that the 4GHz HT is divided amongst each core meaning 1 GHz per core.

I think the problem is more along the lines that AMD keep telling us what they are going to release with paper launches etc but what we actually want is the product to actually be released.

All the while Intel are releasing ever faster/more efficient versions of their dominant Core2.

If am2+ boards have hT3 which runs at 2ghz. How will these run so much higher?
It's probably double pumped. It's marketing speak. For instance, current A64's have an advertised HT of 2GHz, when in actuality, the frequency is 1GHz.
