Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120

Believe it or not I was worried it wouldn't fit in my case but It is actually smaller by half in thickness than my scythe infinity and when you add the fans it's even smaller. It is extremely well made and so far has dropped my temps on my cpu by about 10c. Its almost exactly as tall as the Infinity yet weights alot more and appears to be much better made and thats saying something because a Scythe Infinity is really, really made well and not cheap at all. I cannot believe how much smaller it is than the Scythe in person.

its considered the king of air cooling, though its big brother, the ifx is actually basically 2 ultras combined into one. its a cpu cooler with 2 towers. however the ifx is rare and not widely known. but the thermalright ultra 120 is the best out there for now, till the ifx gains the crown officially. what fan did you use and whats the dba and cfm of it?

I think this cooler is over hyped. It only cool a little bit better than my old Scythe Infinity w/ dual fan config. I also tried w/ 2 fans in push and pull config, less than 1/2 degree improvement. The best one so far was Scythe Infinity w/ quad fans. That was pretty decent but it was too heave to hang it in my case.

I think your wrong I have a Scythe Infinity with three 120 mm fans and this is about 10c cooler with one fan. Also this is one of the best looking, well crafted Items I've ever seen, ranks up there looks wise ,with Zalman products. Scythe is good but not as good as this bad boy and it is smaller. With this cooler i can actually see my ram and remove it if need be. Also my experience with Thermalright is they don't count on large fans doing the work. They need very little cf to cool and adding more doesn't seem to make much difference.

Oh my Scythe, is for sale in the deals section, it's a good cooler ,as a matter of fact it is very good cooler, and i'm selling it cheap. It is in like new condition.

See I told you the Scythe Infinity is good it's number 4 but the Thermalright is number 1

I realize you feel that way but core temps might be nearer to the real temp but I have never had good luck with it at all, with several different chips, AMD and Intel its been wrong or off.

no, its not most software dosnt see if you lower your multiplier

have you tryed the software from GIGABYTE, and did you read this from Tatty_One im still waitting for him to show if he gets the same with coretemp

i trust the mobo manu. stuff more lol, cause its designed to read the sensors on the mobo, etc.

my biostar hardware monitor does an excellent job at reporting temps, rpms, and voltages.

and I get the same temps with coretemp and speedfan and the stuff from asus, everest
