It's just a "holographic" surface of the original MX518, they had that even when new. Here's a random pic from google for example:

What a classic I feel a lot of people have owned this mouse at some point there life I remember going to a physical pc store here and pay it for like £58 / 73USD which was a lot yes and I feel still is.

But that price doesn't come close to the mouse I use at work the Contour Unimouse it's was like £92 really expensive but it helps with my wrist when I use the mouse at work for many hours.

Damn, there are modern GTs? Now I'm interested. The old ones 10+ years ago were dope when I used those in an AIO, I had 2x 1150rpm ones as a push-pull config in a 120mm AIO. I was surprised how well a 120mm AIO performed after swapping the crappy stock fan with those.
Yeah and they went for $7 in Poland like 2 years ago. Bought 9 of them in total, never used them. Now they're like $25 a pop.

My G400 performed great until cable issues. Wish they'd re-release modernized MX518 with high QC standards and no shortcuts on quality of materials.
I didn't even know Logitech discontinued the MX518 Legendary.

That's probably why I paid only 20EUR from mine in 2021, most likely they were selling the last ones with a discount.

[ZAŁĄCZ=pełny]331352[/ZAŁĄCZ]

Kolba prawie nic nie waży w porównaniu do Vento Pro. Specyfikacja dla 1500 vs 2150 obr./min.
I know, I wrote in English, but why it translated into Polish, I do not know.

.........ive built this for image stacking.
Went out of my way, to check what exactly is image stacking, seems pretty close related to astronomy. But I feel like it is also used in scanning buildings for 3D printing.

Old 60HE with plastic case is going to a friend.

They can have the blue silicone Wooting wrist rest too which I don't like.

How much did it cost
£160 for the module and switches posted.
£40 for the lube and switch tools.
£67 for the case
£47 for the weight and brass plate (plate was ansi not iso)
$87.50 for the wrist rest
£27 for the caps
$110 for the Jellykey

£496.60 not including minor stuff like the surgical tape etc.

Everything will last a long time though besides the keycaps which are still like five years+, Jellykey won't wear out. It's good to support small industry creating quality products. I'd say the magnetic switches will last longer than traditional ones too.

I now have pretty much the lowest latency keyboard, fastest and smoothest switches, nicest case and wrist rest etc. Treat myself why not.

So, a nice restaurant date incl. wine and drinks after comparable price. I'm happy with the cost, what you pay is what you get with this stuff.

You can get the same performance under £200 if you do their stock plastic case and don't buy fancy keycaps and wrist rests etc.

Or a monthly salary where I live  Nice keyb nonetheless :peace:
Thanks

Don't look into custom cables for keyboards guys. So expensive lol. I decided against since my cables are hidden anyway.

When they figure out backlit ceramic keycaps that aren't weeaboo trash I'm all in, till then these are great.

There's titanium CNC cases that go upwards of $3k, don't even look good tbh.

My no-name full-size mech keyboard cost me about 30 GBP. It just does its thing. Some switches have already deteriorated due to me spilling drinks (not alcoholic tho) left, right and centre (the KB is just 2 years old) but usability isn't questionable yet. Will stockpile on a dozen of those instead of going full-on custom in case I have 500 GBP laying around. AT LEAST I WILL BE SURE I HAVE ENOUGH KEYBOARDS FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE.

Astonishing work regardless, mate. Do you also have a custom, or a semi-custom mouse?
