anyone own this cpu cooler Tuniq Tower 120 P4 & K8 CPU Cooler - Retail

how does it do with a quad just bought one because it will fit in my new case it's shorter than a Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 so it won't hit the 250 mm fan on my new Thermaltake Armor or so it has been reported. I'm wonder also can the fan be change have a scythe 120mm silent I want to use.

Yes I had that CPU HSF and wow That was one of the very best CPU coolers I have ever had . now I sold it and got the Ultra ChillTech CPU cooler and well I would have to say this one is better but not by much .

The fan is extremely easy to replace with any other 120 x 25mm fan you want. I can't say how well it did with a Quad core, but it did great on the Opteron 170 I had at the time.

I own one (not using it now since I moved to water), but it was quite efficient. You can switch out fans if you have one you like, but their stock fan was quite good. It uses an internal bracket that you screw you fan into. That assembly slides into the top of the cooler. The black shield on top is actually part of the fan bracket.

Mine's lapped and ready to go if anyone's interested...

I sure hate to lose my Ultra extreme it's not only a great cooler but is a work of art. Seems like other than the Thermaright ultra 120 The T.T. is the best cooler. I bet with the 250 mm fan blow directly over top of it will perform even better.

If this T.T doesn't fit im gonna be pissed. I love my ultra exstreme the most of any part in a computer ever except my old 8800 gtx with a thermalright Hr03 plus or maybe my 2900 xt 1 gb with the same cooler. You know me thats a whole lotta parts to compare. I got a deal on a dual orb or I would have put a Thermalright GT cooler on my new 8800 Gt comming but I also liked the dual orbs look even thoe it about 3 quarts the cooler the GT is. The lucky thing is a 8800 gt doesn't need much to keep it cool so my new set up should be hopping. Shoot in some reviews because the die is so small on that gpu the old zalman 700 series cool it just fine.

As info: if they haven't included them already, add some nylon spacers between the thumscrews and the springs. They are very soft brass. In my n00bian state (about 5 months ago!) I cranked them down pretty hard to make good contact and in the process created a bunch of brass shavings that played havoc with my board for months afterward.
Since I've cleaned them out, everything's right as rain!
