Can I run vista?

I'm thinking of putting vista on my PC but I need to know if it will run without hiccups so heres what I have:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ AM2
ATI HD 2900XT 512MB
3GB RAM-2x512 ; 2x 1 GB
not sure what else I need to know, or HAVE to have but could someone tell me so I can install vista this weekend? thanks

rest of my specs are in my system specs thing

Yeah, without hiccups, no problem at all. Any version will do, I am personally going with Home Premium, but ultimate has the most features.

thats freakin great thanks, btw think my motherboard can support a phenom(christmas present) or is there an update for it?

edit: I dont want to buy a new board and Im waiting till they make something so I can use crossfire on a sli board

I am pretty sure that the Phenom will work in all AM2 boards, but I can't find a for sure answer.

BTW, on your current setup with the 4200, Vista will run like a champ. I just think people shouldn't hate things if they don't really hate them.

Yup you should not have a problem. How ever you might wnt to check for support for all your hardware.. As for the un wanted lol just ignore him best thing to do.
