My specs are:
Intel Q6600 (OCed - extreme)
Gigabyte X38-DQ6 Mobo
XFX 8800GTS 512MB (G92) (Stock - will extreme OC)
Team Xtreem DDR2 2GB PC-8500/1066 (2x1GB) Ram
2x Seagate 500GB SATA II 32MB 7200rpm (1TB total storage)
Pioneer SATA 215BK Dual Layer DVD drive
Lite-On Super Allwrite SATA Lightscribe Dual Layer DVD Re-writer
Antec P182
Thermaltake Big Typhoon 120 VX Cooler
Leadtek DTV2000H Hybrid TV Tuner
D-Link DWL-G520M MIMO 108G Wireless
Soundblaster X-Fi Extreme Gamer Sound card

I was orginally going to get the Thermaltake ToughPower Pro 750w when I was getting two 8800GT in SLI....but now I am just getting one 8800GT but will be overclocking it a lot, along with the CPU

I need one that will withstand the power of the system that has cables long enough to make its way around the Antec P182's awkward cable paths.

How big a power supply do I need for this system... here is the list of PSUs from my supplier
http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog...sid=61f7432567439acb79b61e9d532a6d0e&cPath=74

It has to be from this list... thanks a heap

i'd still fly with the thermaltake you were looking at earlier. electronics are not ideal and the capacity of your psu will decrease over time as your capacitors loose their holding capacity. also efficency is also something to consider.

nice pick on the mobo btw!

ahem, pay attention to the first post lol. i wouldn't recommend dynapower either way..

It was a joke lol

If he had to get one from that list I would get the ThermalTake but does he HAVE to get it from there? I would rather get a PCP&C for that much.

I think I will just stick with the Thermaltake... from what I have been told, the cable legnths are enough for the P182... i suppose the extra wattage is also future proofing it a bit as well if i want to upgrade or add parts

i vote pp&c all the way, but thermaltake is about the best thing on the list, otherwise he'd want to resort to a neohe 550 from antec.

you'll be fine with the thermaltake, dont worry

I have ordered the P182 case this weekend - and ordered a Thermaltake Toughpower 750W (Modular Cables) with it - i was advised (by Tatty One) that this should have long enough cables for the case (50cm+) and would be a bang for the bucks.
There are extention cables availible for the case that they are still to short.

I have a Q6600 too and am gonna oc it soon and 750W should be plenty of juice for that.
In your case 750W should be enough too to oc the hell out of your rig.
