My wifes PC just died and I found a system for sale by a guy that works at my local PC store.
I want to see if you guys think it is a good deal or not.
This is a RARELY used computer and never overclocked...

Chieftec case
A8N-32 SLI mobo
Dual core 4400 939s
2-7600GT's in SLI
2 gigs of low latency Corsair memory
Windows XP Pro and Vista Ultimate on dual boot
2-250Gig. SATA hard drives
Zalman 9500Led CPU cooler

Asking price is $700.00....what do you think?

That's an awful deal, the system in my specs (Which is much better than what you were offered) would be worth about 700 or so maybe. But I'd say somewhere in the realm of 300-500

It's not an E4400, its an Athlon X2 4400...notice the mobo as well as the 939s he put...which means socket 939 = AMD.

$300 if it really is barely used and has not been overclocked, which would cause wear and tear.

to give you perspective on it i just put together :

cpu - Q6600 quad core
MB - gigabyte ga-p35-ds3l
ram - 2gb (2x1gb) pc6400 ddr2 800
video - nvidia 8800gt EVGA
dvd - samsung dvd r/wr
hdd - western digital 320gb
cpu cooler - arctic cooler 7
video card cooler - arctic cooler accelero s1

all this cost me $987 yet i still needed a case, but you can see why $700 is such a high price

Damn local shops. They pray on people not knowing enough about what they are buying. I just sold a system that I shipped 3 states away that was much better than this for $650.

if you went amd/ati and didnt get the quad core and used a 3850 you could build a complete near top of the line computer for that same $700. (depending on the case you buy that is

I am going to piece together a system around my old Antec 1080 case.

I have a chifetec case here And swear not to ever have another its 60 lbs and err 700 939 is ddr mem and not very upgradeable just build get an am2 board some nice ddr2 ram(2gigs)
a nice 3850/256 and be happy and faster
