Upgrade CPU and Video cards then install Vista or Vice Versa?

Should i upgrade my CPU and video cards first then reformat my HDD and fresh install Vista or should i do it the other way around?(Reformat HDD install Vista then upgrade).

Usually you reformat your hard drive once you install your new parts.
Otherwise, your computer might not work properly.

So install parts first then install Vista? And should i load XP first to see if the parts work?

Yes always install parts first then the OS.
I dont know why you would install XP if you are going to use Vista.

So do parts and then Vista.

Well i already have Windows XP. But should i boot into XP so i see if the parts are ok?. Then i can use the Vista CD and just fresh install.
