Well if your hand is average size/strength the MX518 is fine. But, if your a big galoob like me then the adjustable weight of the G-5 helps a lot.

look at teh A4Tech 750F series. it is a 2500DPI selectable DPI Lazer mouse with fully programmable keys, a triple fire button, and after using all of the above mice find it comfortable after many hours, looks great, the programmable software works awesome, ( on COD4 puts my knife on the bottom thumb and my special nade on the top thumb. ) and if you order from www.directron.com they have them for $23 ... the most unbeatable price vs performance mouse i have ever used and i am a hardcore gamer to the end.

i have given 5 as presents, have 3 in the house, and recommend them to everyone.

I have the OCZ Equalizer, which is the same exact mouse rebadged, and I have to agree with you 100%. I like it better than my woman's G5.
