I'm looking to upgrade my video card in the next coming months, and I've narrowed my choices to the 9600gt and the 2900pro. I tried looking at tigerdirect.ca/com, newegg.com, canadacomputers.com and infonec.com with no luck at finding 2900pro.

Can anyone suggest a reliable store that sells 2900pro?

The only thing I'm worried about is warranty off ebay, because I live in Canada and most ebay listings are U.S.

The 9600GT is the better card.

But I heard about some people flashing their 2900PRO to XT, and surely a 2900pro flashed to xt will perform better than a 9600gt?

That 3870 looks really really really really good for $215. I noticed it uses 256-bit memory interface, will there be a big difference compared to 512-bit?

I don't think an 8800gs can compete with 3870, but I will look at the 8800gt and compare prices/performance with the 3870

No. Performance-wise it will be nearly identical to the 512-bit 512MB 2900XT.

but I will look at the 8800gt and compare prices/performance with the 3870

Keep in mind the price/performance chart is based on prices at the time of review. Look around to see how much the prices have changed since.

That's a really nice 2900 but the price is just too high for me. I'm looking for a card under $200.

I read an article about 3870 vs. 9600gt and the two cards performed almost identically in most of the tests, the 3870 only having a slight edge in power consumption.
