Notice anything royally messed up? In case you missed it: DX9 alot faster in 64 bit mode (with 64bit DX10 being the worst bench). HOWEVER! DX10 significantly faster than DX9 mode in 32bit mode.

Anyone have a single bloody clue what's going on here?

Why 32bit DX10 would work better than 64bit DX10 is insane! I just don't get it.

Anyone else notice this?

System used is in my profile.

64 bit DX9 was faster either way.

Was that... ehm... Vista ultimate 64? I want to buy it.

Would you agree with some who believe that Crysis is not a well coded game? That some overlook how the game is coded for it's graphics?

Yeah that's Vista Ultimate.

Yeah man I agree. Horribly coded game IMO. There is no reason 64 bit should act like that. On the one hand I was very pleased with 64 bit mode DX9. Almost a 10FPS boost on average over 32bit. But DX 10 mode is a whole different story. I understand that it does some very complex things, but there's no reason it shouldn't scale well with multiple video cards. I look at games like UT, Bioshock, Oblivion and even FEAR and I just don't see how Crysis' graphics are worth the extreme performace hit and why it can't scale well.

That's the biggest thing I don't understand about it either. It just makes no sense that a game would scale so terribly. It's also the primary reason I haven't bothered with it yet.

You guys will probably laugh at me now, but i still say Gears of War's graphics on some levels are better than Crysis. Then again i am the only one who does not think HL is all that.

at the risk of sounding stupid are there any dx10 options enabled in the game?
