Super Talent Ships World’s Thinnest 256GB SATA SSD

Super Talent Technology today launched the world's slimmest 256GB solid state drive (SSD). Only 12.5mm thick - 40% thinner than any other 256GB SSD available - the FSD56GC25H uses an industry standard 2.5-inch hard drive form factor and SATA interface, to achieve 0.1ms access times, and maximum read/write speeds of 65/50 MB/sec respectively. This SSD supports up to 1600G of shock and 16G of vibration, which is about five times greater than typical hard drives. The drive also supports ECC (Error-Correcting Code). "We designed this drive for applications that need rugged and reliable storage in a very compact form factor. This is the world's smallest and thinnest 256GB SSD", said Super Talent Marketing Director, Joe James. "This product underscores our leadership in high density SSDs and demonstrates the technical capabilities of our Silicon Valley engineering team", Mr. James added. The FSD56GC25H drives are designed, manufactured and tested in Super Talent's headquarters in San Jose. Samples are available now. Super Talent sells directly to OEMs and does not give any retail prices.

you only get one set of parents inlife or many depending what kinda ho yo moma is but at the end of the day new tech cant wait, gotta get it before it goes obselete.

I've had my 60GB iPod since summer of like 05. Never had a problem with it, never been serviced. I guess I was one of the lucky ones?

Well, no you probably just took care of it better than I take care of mine. They last for like 5 years I think on average if properly maintained. My friend has still got a real old 40gb (2nd generation), but he's had to replace the drive in it (don't know how he did). They start getting slower. I'm sure you can feel the thing whir up and click, and a few freezes here and there. An SSD would get thing moving smoothly and quickly w/o hiccups and should be more durable.

My girlfriend got me a black 5G 60GB iPod Video for christmas 2006. I immediately ordered an invisibleShield for it, before I even took the protective plastic off it (or even powered it on). I take crazy good care of it. It's pristine because I would hate for something to happen to it 'cause it was a gift. I also have a new iPodJuice battery on standby.

I don't even like the new iPod interface with the split-screen. I don't use album art, and 60GB is plenty. The only thing I would want is a faster processor in it.
