yeah, you can defi tell it's a work in progress demo, but the direction they wanted to go with it is very obvious - I'm diggin it so far. Even though graphics don't appear anywhere near done yet, it's still a major improvement over SoC vanilla, and DX9 looks amazing so far in this demo; when Clear Sky is released, I might just have enough incentive to install Vista for the DX10 support

I love the motion blur is now standard, and the depth of field as well - I especially thought it was neat how dof blurs the background when you're reloading.

Does it still have that stupid one path due to radiation bullshit that the first one had? Is it more optimized and less buggy/more playable than the first one?

not sure - never tried any other demo . . .

I haven't run into any real bugs with this demo, unless you try to search a mutant, then it just crashes out. Otherwise, this demo has been more stable than SoC vanilla.

the amount of tweakign it still needs is obvious, but it really shows how much they've added over SoC - I'm defi looking forward to this one

Ummm, this looks worse than Stalker SoC to me, Obviously due to the nature of it being an alpha build, as I've saw those screen shots and videos of it, but aren't most of you downloading it to see how the nice shiney new engine runs with the graphics maxed out?I'm downloading it now though, it was too easy to find, only took a few secs . All you pirates docked in your bays playing with your warez :shadedshu

Edit, this is booming, downloaded already I was getting 1.5MB/s on this! It's not often I get nice speeds like this on a torrent!
