can you please help,

i have purchased a 8800gs card to replace my en7600gs, i have noticed that my new card comes with a power supply, and I havent a clue what to do with it. I have no spare power points on my power supply but i think i can use an adapter to free one. But my question is that the power cable supplied has two 'd' connectors coming out from the plug that fits onto the graphics card. Do I connect both to the pwer supply or just one. Am I right to assume the other is to daisy chain the power cables. i want to instal my card but i will wait until i have an answer.

many thanks

you need to connect both of the molex plugs (4 pin)to your PS and the 6 pin end to the video card.

That may work for now depending on your PS. I would recommend getting a better PS that has the Pci 6 pin already asap.

i have a 500 watt PS so this is big enough, but i have no spare plugs, cani daisy chain it i.e. unplug the cd and 5 in 1 card reader and using two adapters daisy chain the power supply to my graphics card

cheers

daisy chain the low power stuff, Hdds, DVD, card reader.

Just because the PS says 500W dosent always make it so. I ran my 8800GT and X2 6400 with a 400watt ps (but it was a very good one)
