Search for the CyberDruid mods to the cosmos or the thread by DanishDevil "Whacking the Cosmos" ... maybe you can get some nice ideas too before starting!

Very good luck! :toast:

What are you planning to use for fans out of curiosity, those Silent X or are those just as case fans?

are you using two rads for silence? I'm considering two triples for that reason.

im am using 2 rads mostly becasue i wanted a tripple for the top of the case and i have a spare 240mm left over and also the 240mm has a res fill cap in it so it also solves the "how to fill" issue with ease, for fans i will be using mostly slient X fans and a few noctua fans on 7v

noctua and silenx fans aren't the best for radiator usage (low air-pressure)

thanks for the links, i think i will go simple i am not as hard core as those guys, i think i will mount the 360mm in the top and the 240mm off the back of the case with the "RAD Box" that come with my old 220 compact kit.

go w/ the yate loons. they are nice and quiet + provide very good air flow. the thickness of those swiftech rads do not provide much surface area for the air to dissipate the heat thus need a bit higher cfm fan to work really efficiently. yate loon mediums are your best bet.

personally i use scythe 110cfms on all 3 rads push pull, yes they are loud but i put them on a fan controller so they go from whisper quiet to loud as a jet. 1 swiftech 120.2, 1 bix 120.2 and 1 bix 120.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185060

cooling cpu, + 2 gpus. all fans on a sunbeam rheobus 4 fan controller, used a bunch of y adaptors to control them all. hooked up per radiator, so each knob controls overall fan speed per radiator.

2 rads to cool the cpu is overkill, you should be able to pull 1.6 or so volts loaded at about 55-60c.

how are you going to run your loop?

all i can say is god dam i was right again, in my first post i said i normally kill things when i open the case, well 2 of my 500gig HDDs died, my windows drive and 1 of my 3 torrent drives.

the windows drive ha a piece physically fall off the back and the torrent drive wont boot in 2 systems, so in total i lost about 700 gig of data :(

i am unsure how the drives died i removed them from the case still in there removable HDD and sat them on the table and 2 hrs later the dont work and to top things off i have been told i am picking ppl up from the pub later so i am waiting for them to hurry up and finish and give me a call to come get them....

i would check and make sure your case is grounded or at the very least neutral. Another thing if you go to do anything in a case shut off the psu and remove the power cable. This normally stops anything from possibly grounding to the PSU because its off or to the ground cable because its not there and electricity very rarely will jump to something unless it is grounded. But if you dont shut off the psu it will still ground back to the psu so just unplugging it isnt enough. With your luck i would ground myself every time i went near the comp case. Also carpet, nylon fabricate, fleece, and platic can all cause static electricity from friction so always wear cotton do it on a dinning room chair in a tiled room.

Or you can do as this suggests: :D

yeah i always ground my self and this rig was build up on the table, if anything was to die i thought it would be the mobo/ram/ect not 2 hdds that were far away from the action, anyways nothing i can do about it now

I have one Silverstone FM-122 on my SI-128 cooler and another pulling air out the back of the case. Great fans that move lots of air with lots of pressure.

Heres a post by a guy I was helping out.

It explains how to hang a radiator off the back of the case using a gutted 120mm fan.

I find the end look is much cleaner and it acts as a sort of wind tunnel so you don't just lose the airflow from the fans mounted inside the case.
