Win xp setup problem??

hey guyz, im having some trouble installing windows xp on my WD Sata HDD, im sure of all the configs in the bios (On my asus rampage formula), i mean the settings are set to configure sata as IDE but still, the setup runs normally untill it reaches the "Welcome to setup" screen where i press enter to start windows xp installation and then the system restarts and starts all over, ive also tried intalling windows xp sp2 that includes (sata drivers) but same result..

i would really appriciate your help guyz...

You really need to load the sata drivers during installation but the setup normally stops v. quickly if you don`t. Might be a different problem.

one other thing the cd-rom is also sata, could that effect anything.....

Did you get a floppy disk with the Sata/Raid driver with your mobo.. and do you have a floppy disk drive?
