If I buy the OEM version Vista Home Premium 64 bit from Germany, would I have the option to install the OS in the English language or would it be only in German? I don't want to end up with an OS which language I don't understand! :)

(I'm sorry if this is a noob question but I've never purchased an OS from a non-English speaking country.)

I had to setup an internet connection on such an OS once (XP), was really really confusing.

Topic: Learn German or trade for english version^^ Or why did you buy a german version in the first place?

Lol I didn't buy it. Read my first post. ;)

I'm thinking of buying a laptop from Germany, and the Home Premium 64bit would be 90 Euros if I get it from the same shop. But I definitely won't buy the OS in German because I don't know the language! :laugh:

Why buying a laptop from germany then? If I recall correctly, there are several stores wich sell different language editions (atm, just two shops from Switzerland come to mind)...

I can do a little research if you want, but I have to get home first, content filter in my company doesnt allow much shopping sites...

Well, because it's cheaper than from Malta! :)

You can find the type of laptop I'm planning to buy in this thread.

I've done a bit of research myself on laptops with the same specs. Maltese stores will sell a similar system for 4,500+ Euros... and I checked Rock, Kobalt and Novatech from the UK and they're all ~3500-4000 Euros, and for all the above I hadn't even chosen a blu ray drive like I did now.
