is that all I need for going water cooling for me? AM2 compatible?

And I have a Laptop Seagate 120GB SATA drive that I am not doing anything, brand new just opened, and used to test a board, installed OS. Also I have a IDE to SATA and vice versa converter, can go either way with a small switch.

nope sorry, the block/pump is not AM2 compatible at least not mine... you can probably buy some sort of mounting hardware from swiftech...

:(

would you sell me that little converter thing?

lol having an integrated pump and block really simplifies things, so if you ever do actually get a loop, try getting an apogee drive! they don't have bad performance (although you won't be running dual rad loops probably...) and they clear up the lines!

How well would this work for my q6600 cpu? I mean would it perform better or as well as a pump and a regular cpu water block? As of now i'm on a peltier and was looking to go water.

However... this stuff won't be shipped until after the Modshop.net competition...

Now how long would this be?

Good Day

The combo is not some random generic stuff...

its a Apogee Drive GT block which is touted as one of the best bang for buck blocks... so its not the best, but it does have good performance for the price! and in this case... the price is spectacular since you get a pump with it too!

the pump is this: http://www.petrastechshop.com/laddc1mcin12.html

well I'm not exactly sure when the competition will end... hopefully by the end of this week because there are only 6 entries... you can check for updates yourself if you want. The competition is on the modshop.net (Gamer's Challenge)

If you commit now and pay now, 5% discount! :D

It's a good set up. I have the Apogee/MCR220 on my E8400 clocked at 3.8ghz and temps are never over 60c under load. This rig is on 24/7 and feeds 2-8800GS's and one SMP Client for F@H. Remember, thats both cores @ 100% 24/7 and never over 60c.
