It's a MB not a CPU. Only thing different is it doesn't have to come with any cords or connectors. I'm confused...are you trying to say all open boxes are bad or...

If you RMA a video card/mobo/psu they just test it real quick and put it up for open box.. I would NEVER risk open box.

Okay, Okay...no, openbox. From what I here on the forum the DFIs (BloodIrons & LanParties) are the BEST OCers, but they are p35 and are the greatest with RAM. The ASUS P45s (P5Qs) are better with RAM and their OC is very compairable w/ DFIs. I've also heard that BioStar TPowers are good. What's up?

thats a pretty good wrap up on things. its really up to the crossfire thing. If you really want a bangin crossfire rig, go for a better chipset. If its not a priority I think you could be happy with a ton of motherboards!

Well, I've never CrossFired any cards and I've barely OCed before. I was thinking that I would like to xfire the 4870 later, but was wanting to buy one (later, I have a 3850 right now) and see how it did on games. As of now I only really play BF2142, but when I start getting more money (grant money and steady job starting the 26th) I was going to start experimenting with games. The 4870 plays Crysis on High, right? That seems like all I'll need, but I was worried about future proofing. Then again, I'm worried about xfire not working, so...
