Does it definitely have to be Asus and $120 or cheaper? If yes, look into the P5K (Pro). If not, then take a peak at the Foxconn P35A. Have fun building!

If you dont mind putting in an extra $20-30 go with what freakshow linked. Its a nice board, if not heres a few that would probably be just as good

P5Q Pro is pretty cool, but consider getting the P5Q-E is not too different. Sure, it only has 2 PCIEs that can reach x16 but three of those is just plain overkill in a budget perspective. Get the P5Q-E, just to save a couple of extra bucks. As for anything else, the 1200 case is a bit overkill for your setup as despite its size it doesn't even support E-ATX for futureproofing. That case is for hardcore builders who have tons of drives for media, get at least a 300 case as the only difference between the 900 is that it has no window, no LED fans, and instead of a 140mm top fan its a 120mm fan. The difference isn't far for half the price so go for that to save money. However, if you wanna go futureproof or hardcore, consider investing in a full tower case like the CosmoS or Lian-Li towers, those seem good for their price believe me. however, I recommend you to not get your motherboard and CPU just yet as CPUs with 1366 sockets are rolling out in September to replace the 775 sockets. Sure, the x58 motherboards may depress you but wait for the P55 or P53 motherboards.

That's a damn good deal there Urb!!!! I wonder if they would have a coupon code for US?

Nope, the sales are different for NCIXUS, they suck. Check the sale page for Canadian's, we get some wicked Newegg-like deals up here:rockout:

That mobo is the P5Q, it is not the P5Q-Pro, the Pro is a much better board. The non-pro does not have Crossfire.

Edit: You would get the board I linked above for the same amount, shipping is only $8...and you will get it in 1-2 Days.

alright, thank you guys. We are going to have to alter some things on his build, he really doesn't want to push that budget.

I am surprised that this hasn't been mentioned, with the newer PCI-E cards, the Antec 900 can get a little tight depending on how you set it up. Also the case is know to get very dusty and has poor cable management. Not to say it is a bad case (I have one and I like it), just making sure you know everything you can about every product you buy.

The original P5Q does not support Xfire since it only has one PCIE slot, not even Hybrid Crossfire. If you are not looking forward to Crossfire, purchase this to save money. If you don't have that many drivers to put in your PC, like at least three optical drives, get the P5QPL-E to save a little more money. It's features are very similar to the P5Q except that it has the P43 chipset, more PCI slots than PCIE x1 slots, and 2 chassis fan connectors instead of 3. It's performance is barely anything to worry about as its pretty much just as good as the rest of the P5Q series in just about any game title. Again, I recommended waiting for CPUs with the LGA1366 sockets instead of rushing for one with an LGA775 socket. Trust me, the performance from these new CPUs will be something to regret for if you buy your parts right now.
