The 4870x2 is the price performance king now.
Check my 4870x2 playing crysis at 1920x1200 res. all setts on Very-High with 8xq aa on youtube.

The 4870x2 beats 2-3 280gtx's in sli in the majority of games.Crysis with the new 8.8 drivers is working very well with my 4870x2.
I play crysis at 1920x1200 res. with all on very-high setts with 8xq aa and i get 30-50fps.
The 260gtx is slower than the 4870.The 4870 actually competes with the 280gtx.
I have both the 4870 and the 4870x2 So, you can't convince me till you show a vid of your 260gtx/s cards.

And thisis the crysis game play.

Your definitely not a ATI fan.And keep your biased facts for yourself. The 4870 is faster than the 260gtx And it does compete with the 280gtx.
Check my friends "Russiaforthewin" 260gtx's benchmarks on youtube.
I have had both ATI and Nvidia cards and both are good. But now,Nvidia's best card is not faster than AMD's "4870 not the x2" and it costs a lot more.
So, AMD is the best choice.
None of this has anything to do with this news topic. Quit trolling.

nvidia still dreaming , nvidia can never use 45nm gpu until 2010 , just like they say when try to release gtx 200 and say it was come with gddr5 , im know they maybe use gddr4 but can't develop gddr5 with gtx200, and at last come with gddr3 , so some people troll me and give me many links of site's put the news of gddr5 , so maybe only think happened with the new card's is gddr4 , i expect 45nm gpu come in 2009 develop by ati not nvidia cuz ati doing will with 55nm and nvidia still on 65nm

Bro never say never and in the very end all we want is performance/price if its using DDR5 or 10 it doesn´t meter if they have performance/price stable with GDDR3 and ATI with GDDR5 its ok cause all we want is performance and even with GDDR3 the GTX280 still the best single graphic on the planet and about the 45nm lets live and see now days we just can´t say never...

sorry about getting off topic, just getting tired of ATI fan boys spouting off how their king for a day.

Your probly right about the slide not depicting how they compete with each other, but its all very confusing till we see the products i guess.

System Name Skulltrail system.....too much to write beyond the point of having a 8core machine!

Don;t forget that Ati had to play catch up with the GTX200 series by adding 2 cores onto a single PCB. All up its 2 4870 cores vs 1 GTX280 core!

So even if it does perform better....nvidias series is still the king of the gfx range!
