Willi have to reinstall all my games after installing windows 10 or is it just like a update everything else will still be there?

Windows 10 isnt realeased yet.

The beta lets you inplace upgrade or you can clean install from disk but its BETA any of it can change.

We can always hope that since W10 is essentially W8.2, that it will behave like an update of that sort. But it IS Microsoft, so nothing is assured.

I have it for free but just not sure how long that offer is for and if its worth it jsut after release

So you havent read any of the windows 10 news then? Because you would have already known insiders get it for free (assuming they stay testers) and its free in general for the first year if you have a valid key from a previous version of windows.

I put my email in to reserve my copy from the icon that's on windows 8 so I won't know if it will download auto or do it when ever you want

I think the assumption is we will be able to dl the ISO and do a clean install. So I would not have my system set to auto update windows ( I never do anyway) in fear it could do an auto update/upgrade of the OS.

Not so sure about the valid key part. I have a friend that has a questionable copy of Windows 7 that has got the popup, and reserved windows 10. However no one I know with a valid copy of windows 7 has gotten it.

No one can even be entirely sure they are being validated right now. But if he is doing windows updates im willing to bet its not illegal.

It's not legal, I was told how it was activated. It's a risky method requiring a custom SLIC modded BIOS, but I don't know if windows can detect it.

You be able to upgrade your current OS and you should be usable as it is now. I hear that you will need to do the upgrade before you can do a fresh install of win 10.

did they allow the notification updates? some of them were optional, but a lot of users including myself are tired of all this spyware & block these updates

it's very likely the reserve is just a download slot not a key check, there's a whole year to decide... there will be isos posted... there will be crackers at work & there might be a cat & mouse with microsoft's drm
